Privacy Policy — SortFlow

Effective Date: March 31, 2026

1. Overview

SortFlow collects anonymous usage analytics to help improve the app. No personal information is ever collected or stored. All gameplay data (progress, statistics, achievements) is stored locally on your device.

2. Data Storage

Game progress, statistics, and achievements are stored on your device using iOS's UserDefaults mechanism. This data:

• Remains entirely on your device
• Is not transmitted to external servers or third parties
• Can be removed by deleting the app

3. iCloud Synchronization (Optional)

If iCloud is enabled on your device, SortFlow can optionally synchronize your game progress across your Apple devices using NSUbiquitousKeyValueStore. This means:

• iCloud sync is entirely controlled by your device settings — SortFlow does not force or require it
• iCloud data is encrypted and managed by Apple, not by us
• You can delete your iCloud data at any time via Settings > [your name] > iCloud
• Disabling iCloud on your device prevents sync; local data on the device is preserved

4. Analytics

SortFlow uses TelemetryDeck, a privacy-focused analytics service, to collect anonymous usage data. This helps us understand how players use the app so we can improve it.

What is collected:

• App events such as game starts, completions, difficulty selections, and settings changes
• Gameplay metrics such as move counts, scores, and time elapsed
• Basic device information (device model, OS version, app version)

What is NOT collected:

• No names, email addresses, or personal identifiers
• No device advertising identifiers (IDFA)
• No location data
• No cross-app tracking

TelemetryDeck uses a one-way hash to generate anonymous user identifiers. This means individual users cannot be identified or contacted. Data cannot be linked back to a specific person or device. For more information, see TelemetryDeck's privacy policy.

5. No Advertising or Tracking

SortFlow does not contain:

• Advertising or ad networks
• Crash-reporting services
• Cross-app tracking of any kind

6. Audio

Sound effects in SortFlow are generated locally on your device in real time using AVAudioEngine, a standard iOS audio framework. No audio is recorded, stored, or transmitted.

7. Children's Privacy

SortFlow is age-appropriate for all users, including children. Only anonymous, non-identifiable usage analytics are collected (see Section 4). No personal data is ever collected or transmitted. The app contains no advertising or in-app purchases.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time to reflect changes in the app or applicable law. Updates will be posted to this page with a revised effective date. Continued use of the app after any update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
